Thoughts From the Sofa

Okay, not literally from the sofa.  From me as I maintain my prostrate position on the sofa.  It seems I've managed to come down with the flu. Ugh.  This is going to be a bit random and rambling I fear, so I'll offer my apologies and excuses right up front.

I've pretty much maintained this position since I crawled out of bed this morning and dragged myself this far. The girls and I stayed home from church this morning.  Freeland sweetly stayed home to take care of me.

We went to a family wedding yesterday.  It snowed a good part of the day and the roads were pretty bad in the morning when we left.  We had a little over an hour's drive.  In the afternoon when we came home the roads were cleared, but our lane was another story.  Anyone who has been to our house will understand why our lane would cause a bit of a problem after several inches of snow.  It is a lovely, steep lane that winds up into the woods.  Nice for everything except driving up in the snow. Anyway we ended up with two stuck vehicles and still needed to walk up in the snow. Our kind neighbor helped Keith get the vehicles out.

I have a noisy family.  Not actually.  But when your head is aching noise is magnified.  Very magnified.

This afternoon I designed pages for the children to fill out about 2012.  We did this last year and I can't wait to compare their answers from the two years.  I'll show you the pages once I feel a little better. I'm pecking this out on my phone do that I don't have to sit up to do it and the pages
are saved on the computer.

I sure hope my crew doesn't get sick.  We have a big Martin family get together planned for Tuesday. Hopefully we are all well.
