Twenty-two pumpkin rolls to be exact. Ever hear of utter exhaustion? Try baking, filling, rolling, and wrapping twenty-two pumpkin rolls in one day and you will see where I am coming from. Now let me hasten to add, lest you get the idea that I am a real super woman, that I had two sweet friends here and we worked at it together. It was fun. And we each now have seven pumpkin rolls (plus the one we sliced to sample when the boys came home from school) in the freezer so that when we are invited anywhere between now and January we can graciously offer to bring a pumpkin roll.

All ready for the freezer! |
Tomorrow will be a family day with my in-laws. It is so funny how traditions vary so much from one area to another. Tomorrow we will have a very traditional Thanksgiving meal. But this is Pennsylvania. And I was raised in Texas. And, of course, to me Thanksgiving isn't Thanksgiving without cornbread dressing. And these folks don't even understand what I mean when I say "dressing". We will have "filling" and "stuffing". Bread filling and oyster stuffing. Suffice it to say I'm glad they serve mashed potatoes too (even if my Mam-Maw could teach them a thing or two about mashin' taters!).
Needless to say, my contribution to the meal tomorrow will be...
You guessed it...
